Title: Cancer surgery
Post by: wildturkey6 on September 27, 2011, 10:31:12 PM
Thanks again friends for all the supportive prayers for Frank. He made it through the Cyber Knife today as well as the removal of the lesions.
The doctors said it will be six weeks before they can do a MRI to see how effective the surgery was. Six weeks seems like a life time to have to wait but the radiation has to dissipate before the can get a clear image of what they killed. He was in good spirit and we are hoping the radiation does not make him to sick.
He had to stop the Chemo pills that he was taking because they were experimental and they were not sure if they were causing the melanoma to come back. They were mainly for the cancer in his blood and lymp nods. We just pray that someone Else's life may be changed with the experimental procedures they  are learning from working with Frank.

Thanks again I will keep you all updated as he progress to get better, God Bless Terry Thompson aka wildturkey6

Lifting you guys up to the Lord again Terry!!!!

My wife has this written on an idex card laying here as I type this:

"He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure."

I pray you lean on Him during this time Terry!

He sounds like a strong person from a strong family.   Faith, Family, Strong Will, Good Doctors and lots of prayers can go a long way.  Continued prayers for Frank and your family :jesus-cross: :bible:

Let me say first that the Lord is in control, sometimes we may wonder, since times seem so difficult, but be assured He has heard your pleas and is working in the direction necessary for Him to be praised. Secondly, we have been dealing with my wife's mothers cancer since last September, it is a terrible thing that has entered our family and so many, many others, but through the prayers sent up on her behalf, she is still high in spirit and THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING when it comes to dealing with this horrible sickness. So I am praying for Frank's spirit to be high and remain high all the way through this ordeal, and the family's strength and faith remain just as high also. pappy
