I have been playing and playing with slate sb and crystal and bronze glass on top different ways staying with the same wood mainly for now just cause its easy for me to get kinda testing things out. So I was sitting inside and the call seemed high pitch so I came outside to record a little you tube clip to get some feed back off here. But once I played it back I think the insides of the house were tricking me a little cause it seems on cue outside! Anyway here she is!

I'd drop your soundboard just a shave, it will give you a little better rollover and just a shade deeper sound to your call. It sounds like your very very close to where it should be, but if you drop it just a bit it should pop on your rollover.
You could sell that to me, I love a higher pitch without a nasty rollover. I think it sounds awesome!
Dude
That calls got TURKEY written all over it !! :icon_thumright:

Sounds turkey to me, and you bring up a good point as I practice my calls inside for the benefit of my neighbors. Think I will move outside once in a while!
Hey Mossy your neighbors dont mind I might walk outside at 9 or 10 oclock and put out a series of yelps to listen to a call!!! :TooFunny: :TooFunny:
:TooFunny: :TooFunny: sometimes it's 2-3am in the summer, work in the shop when it cooler outside. Had our local officer stop by a few times to see what I was working on, " I come out the station and here turkey's talkin I knew you were buildin somethin new, man that thing carries clean across town on a quiet night" :TooFunny: :TooFunny:
Sounds good Lyle.
Does sound different outside.
