Title: Homestead Calls
Post by: ChiefBubba on September 21, 2011, 08:05:44 PM
I sent some wood out to Pappy and Scott that came from my families farm in South Carolina. Pappy posted a box call last week. Scott just sent me this today. A cedar pot with slate over Hickory sound board. Boy does she sound really sweet and is really easy to run. Thank you Scott for making me a very nice pot. I'll remember this for the rest of my life and wish that my Grandfather could be here to see it. It'll make a great memories for a long time. Sorry for the bad pictures. Chief.

Funny thing today I was showing it to my mom and talking about it and my grandfather (her father) and we kept smelling that cedar smell.  Sitting in her kitchen and sniffing that call.  Chief.

That cedar was some great smelling wood. Between that cedar and the olive I cut the shop sure smells good.  :love5:
