I have an Ameristep, and it's been good for 10 yrs. or so. They are reasonably priced, waterproof, and fold into a backpack. I have the penthouse model, because it is 7 feet tall. I am 6'7'', and it allows me to stand and walk around, if needed. I really like it..Mike

Pocket knife and a handful of cabbage tree fans.

I don't own a blind but did sit in 2 this spring,1 was a bigger Primos blind already set up, the other was a Ameristep outhouse. It was easy to carry, set up and sit in but still trying to get it back in the bag.Its not that bad but you had to pay attention.I could see where they have a place in certain situations.

trekker or a doghouse. Picked up two trekkers last weekend on sale for 49.99 each. Have a few that we've used for a couple years now with no trouble.

I have the Ameristop Doghouse.  I left it up all season last year, brushed up well and it never leaked and was a pleasure to hunt out of.
It's not huge, about 5'X5' and tall enough for me (but not Hognutz!) to stand up in.
Packing up is easy after you get it figured out.
Putting it up is a breeze.
