Guys,
Got a 11-87 26" barrel sportsman with a Pure Gold .570 ported tube. Just ordered a lot of H276C Nitros for this gun, 1 7/16 oz. of straight 7's in hevishot. What kind of numbers do you think I can get at 40 yards with this combo?? Do you think over 200 hits in a 10" at 40 yards is possible?? Let me know.
Thanks
Quite possible. On their site they will shiow numbers with a certain choke. Is 200 the magic number to kill a turkey in 2011?
Nope, 200 is in no way the magic number. But, it sure would be nice to have it. ;D Gives me an added cushion and I like to have the best available. No factory load can touch them from what I hear. I would shoot the hevi-13 if they would up there payload to 1.5 oz. from 1.25 oz., but they aren't going to.
Yes you could get those numbers if your setup likes the load.
I got between 230-240 with the 555.. First day out I missed 4 birds inside 25 yards.. If I went back to Nitros, I would probably opt for a Extended Full choke.. Quite positive you will see the 200 number with the 570
My sons 11-87 with a 21" barrel and a PG .555 gets 234 @ 40yds with the Nitro 7's.
