This land was suppose to get open to hunting 20 years ago and they have kept us out. The place has a great population of Osceolas. Please take the time to fill out the comment section. The ANTI's are on this like white on rice and it is easy for them due to option #2. This is a National Preserve and was bought with your money. We are in a battle for 178,000 acres.
We are asking for option #3 with the removal of the USFWS. The USFWS is already involved because there are 23 endangered species in these lands. If they are put at the top we will be fighting against two goverment agencies. It was written into law in 1988 that they "shall" permit hunting. It is only suppose to be a partnership between our State Game Commission and the National Park Service.
