Watched a really good Podcast of 1 hour + 30 minutes at the Southern Outdoorsmen Utube Channel.
Their most recent one of less then 1 week ago titled-- Most Turkey Hunters Are Missing This Skill with Lamar Williams of Florida.
Awesome,I watched that twice already. The exact same thing,I do. Still trying to learn more here at age 66.
Try and catch that Podcast- the 90 minutes feel like 30 minutes!
With that in mind,I have to hit the Public Woods for a good 3 hours this Morning. Turkey Seasons here in NY+ NJ will be here soon enough. Enjoy that Podcast fellow Turkey Hunters- blackbeltbill.
I watched a few clips on YouTube, really likable fella.
And his pot call skills are stout!

he didn't hold back on cnc calls
I really tuned in when Lamar said he uses a Paddle Box up in the Morning when things are quiet. And he won't Turkey Hunt without a Paddle Box.
I have a nice Paddle Box also. Better take that out each day.
And his comments on after sitting for 2 hours- you have exhausted all your efforts- time to get up and move. I can sit for 30 minutes usually- sometimes up to 1 hour. More of a Run + Gunner myself.
Been practicing those Soft Yelps just a little louder then Tree Yelps that Bill Zearing calls " Nookie" calls. Claude Strothers would Yelp Softly on the Lynch Foolproof. Then he said he had 20 of those Boxes in his closet! Another great podcast on this Channel--" This Man Knows"
I hit paydirt in the Scouting- while Freezing last week in an area where hunters have said There are no Turkeys. Like Lamar- my serious Scouting in 6 weeks out before the opener.
