Title: Go pro
Post by: Crappie16 on February 22, 2026, 07:36:21 PM
I am wanting to get a couple go pro or simular brand cameras to set by my decoys at ground level. Also want to be able to use the camara for fishing and horseback riding .  What does everyone recommend.  I really want them to be remote turn on and off if possible.

A go pro really ain't great for anything unless its real close. The putting them near decoy idea might work as you can run them remotely.
The newer go pros are what you'd want if you try it or else you'll get an annoying fish eye.
Ive got a hero 10 that doesn't have it so anything later ought to be good. Still think it's pretty limited use and that'd  be pretty close range like under 20 yards and even that looks small. They're too expensive for what you get. Some of the features are easier than a reg camera like time lapses, night shots unless you set the camera for these which you're still changing a go pro to, its just easier but for the price and use get a decent camcorder. You'll find more use I think.
