Title: Good production pot calls
Post by: GAmountainman on January 30, 2026, 07:58:37 AM
I'm looking to add a glass or crystal surface pot call to the vest this year and was wondering what you folks recommend.I heard good things about the K&H Moonshiner but the $100 price tag seems a little steep.

Halloran Twisted Sister or Crystal Mistress run $90 and would be a better investment, in my opinion.

I like my Gooserbat Crystal.  I think they are around $70-$80.

Another vote for Halloran... I have the Crystal Mistress, Twisted Sister, Metal Mouth I, and Metal Mouth II - all got lots of turkey in 'em.

well I didn't know they revived the moonshiner until I read this, I was going to say if you can find one for $100 buy it because the original ones sell for a lot more than that especially in the package

halloran calls are great production calls, all primos calls ive bought will run well but rarely with the striker they come with (the 777 striker will run good on most of their calls, even the $20 ones) Lynch jet slate is a good one, woodhaven cherry crystal is a great option

I make two different ones.

I'd be happy to let you hear them.  9182261063.  I'm usually around the shop so text or call at your convenience.

I second the Cherry Classic, great sounding call and very consistent. Zink pots sound pretty good too.
