Title: Weather / Mail / Caution / USPS
Post by: Greg Massey on January 28, 2026, 06:19:41 PM
Just wanted to make people aware because of the weather / road / conditions in our area, we have not had a mail delivery in 3 days, so if some of you are buying and selling on the forum, you might want to wait on shipping your packages depending on your area, just a word of caution ..

I really don't think we will see mail deliveries this week...

Hopefully your packages don't get lost ...

We are in a rural area and got about 12" of snow. Mail has been fine. Trash man hasn't run. I don't know about FedEx or UPS because we haven't ordered anything.

I've got a trumpet from Moye that was supposed to be here Monday and just got to the post office about 20 miles away today. Got an order from houndstooth that was supposed to be here on Saturday and it's still showing in transit to next location

We only got about 3" of snow but got 3" of ice on top of it. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20260128/ff03a101105516f47e8b36e67c48d3f3.jpg)

What happened to:  "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds" is a phrase long associated with the American postal worker?????  HMMMMMMMM!!!

I work for the Federal Government, You can Trust Me!

No mail here Monday or Tuesday.

There were LOTS of days over my 35 years in a brown truck that we ran a full day and the mailmen never left their building.   :-\
