Title: 3" 28 Gauge Single Shot
Post by: Spring Creek Calls on July 24, 2025, 04:57:42 PM
I have my 3" Charles Daly 101 28 gauge ready for a TSS sight in when the weather cools. Added a Barska 2 slot picatinny that attaches to the barrel with a Bushnell red dot sitting on top. Sighted in (3 shots) with a 2-3/4" 1 ounce load of Federal lead. The recoil pad helps with both LOP and recoil. Weighs in just over 5 lbs with the pad and red dot. Comes with sling mounts and 1 Mobil choke.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20250724/ced7147208245736f7930a03d154a5cb.jpg)

That is a great little setup.  Should be all the gun you need and plenty light for long walks.  Hope to see a picture with it next to a gobbler.

That's a neat setup. I didn't even know they made a barrel clamp for a reflex sight ... thanks for sharing

Not that it matters too much for turkey hunting, but i'm curious how the trigger is on that gun?

It's not great but I've got it around 6.5 lbs with some hammer spring reduction.
