Stabilized, spalted, birds-eye curly Hawaiian Koa that checks all the boxes. I turned this one as simiple as possible to show off the wood just as God created it. I plan on killing a few turkeys hunting with this call; then pass it on to my grandson. This one will never leave home. I don't do CA finishes; the oil finish I use doesn't do this wood justice in the picture, but I can touch up the finish and buff whenever it needs it. The only thing this call needs is some turkey blood on it.
As beautiful a call, as has ever been turned.
Marvin, you pulled everything out of the details, that Koa had to offer...
That is one mighty fine trumpet..
Congratulations to your Grandson !!

Beautiful call, I'd have to put 2 lanyards on that one for double insurance
Simply amazing.

Koa is a beautiful wood, nice use of it there sir.
That's a fine looking trumpet and I don't blame you for keeping and passing that one down one day...
It's super cool, I especially like how you streamlined the lanyard notch. Nice going 👍👍
