I finally got around to making a couple of trumpet yelpers for my son. I have a drawer of trumpet blanks I set aside for him, and I decided to turn a couple for him. Stabilized, curly spalted white Hawaiian Koa and mud-cured burl osage.
Dang man, those are really nice.
They look amazing Mr. Marvin. A lot of character in the wood and mouthpieces
Both of those are stunning! Awesome pieces of wood there.

Beautiful pair of classic looking calls. That Osage is outstanding.
What is the mouthpiece made of on the Osage.
Love the wood. Great looking calls

About all of the trumpet yelpers I'm building now I'm using 8-swirl German ebonite for the mouthpieces. I match up the colors in the ebonite with the wood I'm using to build the call. I really like the German ebonite. The ebonite stinks when you're drilling and turning it to high heaven, but you get use to it....LOL!!! The end result IMHO makes a really nice looking trumpet yelper.
That Osage is one of the finest looking trumpets I've seen
Very impressive!
Your son should be damn proud to have and hunt these two, but that Osage is a thing of beauty.
Those look phenomenal!
