Title: 20 gauge lead
Post by: Gman on May 28, 2025, 09:49:57 PM
Picked up 18 (total) Federal Super Magnum 3" number 6 shot today and,

5 (total) Western Super X, "Mark 5" number 6 shot also. I gave $15 for the lot of 23 cartridges.

Has anyone ever used these out of a 20 bore on gobblers?

Just curious if they were a decent load for 30/35 yards.

Good buy, both of those loads should get you to 35yds with the right choke

Thanks crow, I figured for $15 what the heck. They are really old plastic hulls (not paper) and I'll pattern them in the next week since our season ends this Saturday.

'Vintage' ammos are fun. I'd say more like 25 yard with a dense pattern then 30-35 will be like ishh... Anyways, it will be very fun to hunt with these and get one with them!
