Luckily I already have one a second would've been nice but that's also too rich for me as well

Another example of more money than sense.
They are awesome push pins ... congrats to whoever gets the bid ....
That's wild, I've heard of those kind of offers but never seen it in person
Crazy

Those pushpins are very nice, but 1275 is a little steep!

They are nice. I gave one away as a gift and sold one because I thought I needed the money. A bad decision by me.
You never know, the person may be loaded, so money is no object to him or her. Like buying a Greenleaf Remington for $3500 bucks? Great call for sure, they are buying the opportunity!

Very true, to each their own! Regardless they will get a killer call.

As hard as they are to get I would never sell it. I'm gonna own one of them rascals one day but that's a little too steep there.
would love to try one, will be interesting to see what it goes for. way more than i can afford.
The real kicker is the seller stated my loss is your gain, not really sure what they are losing at that price!
It's sad that it has gotten to this point that a guy like me that just wants a nice call to actually use and hunt with cant even get one. One of these sold last month on here for $515 and I missed out.
Ended up going for 3700 that's insane
I'm rich.
Wow... it sold for 3700$... I hope it was Shannon who sold it and not someone els?
It wasn't Shannon.
ALL I can say is congrats to the bidder....Good for him...
Amazing
:o
3700 is absolutely wild, I have a feeling their will be a few more on ebay very soon lol.
Not mine !!!
Hope my wife doesn't see that price... mine will be going into the safe now. Really going to be super careful when taking it to the woods now, good thing I have one of Yoder's great leather pouches!!
Time to reluctantly chime in
First thing I'll say ...I have absolutely no idea who the person who sold the call..or who bid or purchased the call -
FYI -I consider myself a humble yet principled person - the guiding principle is my calls do "all the talking for me "
Most of you are very well aware that dodge collector and even more so flipper and middlemen types , there is no "list " I've mentioned many times in the past lists are the stock and trade of call flippers..
Regardless, they got a call that will call and kill turkeys in the right hands ... Best push pins made... IMO
The guy who bought it must have plenty of money, he has already bought over 6371 items off Ebay ...
I'm not a fan of speculation or assumptions so I'm going to set the record straight.
I'm the guy who sold the call on eBay. I also want to make a few points crystal clear:
I'm a turkey hunter first off and a call hobby collector second off
I do not collect calls to flip nor intend to make any profit off of any call that I've ever collected. Several members on here have bought calls from me in the past that were priced more than fairly.
I had tried for years to get my hands on one of these pushpins. Luckily over the last couple of years I was able to obtain more than one. I picked the one that I like the sound of best and intend to hunt. The other one I put on eBay to fund a predator rifle project.
I sell lots of things on eBay as I have been a member since 2005. It's my online yard sale.
I listed the call at what I paid for it and was hoping that it might bring a little bit more to cover the eBay fees and shipping which roughly 15% of price.
I am just as shocked as everyone else is at the sale price. I had no control over bids as it was an auction. I don't personally know the buyer, they may be a very wealthy person and to them $3700 may be like $370 or even $37.
I have other calls that I'll be listing on eBay along with several other items that I'd like to sell the fund my other hobbies. They will all be listed fairly and if they sell for more great, if they don't, that's OK too.
To Shannon, I appreciate your calls and the level of craftsmanship that you put into them. The push pin that I have and the duck calls that I have will continue to see use and hopefully more success in the woods. I also appreciate this forum and many friends I have met and the knowledge I've gained.
Those are the facts. I'm sure there will be lots of opinions on this and everyone is entitled to one. However, I couldn't stand by and let others paint a narrative of me.

Wish I could have afforded it!! Would love to own one but I can see that would be a far stretch considering what that one went for. Happy for the bidder and seller. Hopefully one day I can get my hands on one

Did the buyer pay for it?
Quote from: Bedge7767 on May 30, 2025, 10:48:30 AMDid the buyer pay for it?
I don't think that's an appropriate question to ask in a public forum or otherwise. Might as well ask, "Did he write a check his a** can't cash?"
I will say that the buyer is someone who has bought several things from me in the past on eBay. They have always been professional and a pleasure to deal with. He'll get the same level of courtesy and professionalism as anyone else who does business with me. No matter the deal or transaction amount.
My opinion ...once you buy something it's YOURS , the ower of the call is exactly that the OWNER , I do however avoid people with constructive intent to flip calls
Like the rest of you , I've purchased stuff ...couldn't use it anymore then sold it to make space, often at a loss , once in a blue moon things appreciate in value ..like the stock market
To clarify because of comments made elsewhere ...there is NO LIST ANYMORE , there was one many many years ago ...we made announcements...didn't hear back ...then tragically the list fell into a campfire when I reached for a beer ..the rest is a sad story , I shot a gobbler the next morning ..all is right in the universe from that point forward
Ive seen some chirping about people who claimed to be on a list ...you should have spoke up when i made a PUBLIC POST , or at least be a active member , it doest hurt to check once in a while -the #1 big red flag for me is you dont even own a call I've made ..and your already causing trouble - hence a full circle back to my point ...THATS WHY I DONT DO LISTS , many or the calls that were sold on the list system , end up being flipped
Again once the call is your property, it's exactly that YOUR PROPERTY

Well said, and I'm glad to know Murphy's Law follows you around too. The campfire story sounds all too familiar.

It's a very appropriate question. People run stuff up and don't pay all the time to manipulate the market on stuff. I didn't ask for his social and dob.

I'm aware of the shadow bidder scams and I think it's despicable. Along with all other unethical business practices.
Happy for whoever got it. I would love to own one! I'll keep waiting and searching. Hopefully one day I'll get lucky

You have been more than fair in selling your PP's, no push-pin sounds and is as well made as yours. A lot goes into them, the quality of the wood, checkering in the lid, and most of all, they are all TURKEY! I'll bet $3,700 is the World Record price sold for one. Nothing at all to be ashamed about. Kudos for developing them, I'll never enter the woods without them, Lord knows they changed the game for me for sure. Congrats!
I have a pushpin call that was coughed on by Shannon himself. I will let it go for a crisp $37,000,000 dollar bill.
No low ballers
I know what I gotz
Seriously though, congrats to the seller and the buyer. They are both happy, clearly. The rest...is noise.

I'm glad to see this thread didn't go full tilt into a seller/buyer bashing session. I've lurked around on this site for several years and am not all that active in posting and chatting, but I've enjoyed this site and the members for being a great and humble resource. I hope it stays that way and doesn't go the way of many forums with a bunch of snot nose yuppie elitists who bash the hell out of anyone posting that isn't in the clique.
I'm happy for the seller, the buyer and the callmaker. All 3 are winners in that transaction.
The bottom line is simple. The buyer got an outstanding call and spurs2bgobblin made some extra money for another project.
Spurs2bgobblin listed the call at what he paid for it and was hoping it might bring a little bit more to cover the eBay fees and shipping, which is roughly 15% of price.
He was just as shocked as everyone else was at the sale price. He had no control over bids, as it was an auction. Like spurs2bgobblin stated the buyer could be a very wealthy person and to them $3700 means nothing to them for a Shannon Kelly call.
Congratulations to both the buyer and seller. It appears both are happy with the outcome and life moves on.
Like I always say, "Better hunting experiences through aggressive spending."
Let me tell you about spurs2bgobblin
He helped me get connected with the right people when I got started buying custom turkey calls. I met him on this forum and to say he is a good guy is an understatement.
I recently won a box call on eBay. I got a text from him and he said " you should have told me you wanted that call" and he cancelled the eBay transaction and sold me the call at his cost with shipping and threw in a Glenda Green holster.
I don't have a dog in the fight. I did not sell him the pushpin he sold on eBay, I just want everyone to know he is as good as they get.
I would not sell my pushpin for $3,700. They are straight killers.

Makes you wonder if the people who really wanted one, really wanted one ... I knew this would probably happen... As Shannon has said it belongs to them and they can do what they want with them...
I think when a call sells for that much a lot of people will want to jump on the band wagon and try to covert theirs into cash.
They might not want to sell it for $500, but $3,700 is a lot of money.

Yep another one just got listed, at $265 now!

These calls are valuable! They are hands down the best push pins ever made. The second being Tim Bullock IMO.
