"A Turkey Hunters Wife"
At home you will be,
Maintaining the structure.
While I chase turkey,
With hopeless conjecture.
Only once in a while,
Do I have success.
Yet you always smile,
When I come home with less.
But on this day,
I bring you dinner.
Because you pray,
For your turkey hunting sinner.
This life without you,
Would not be possible.
You're one of the few,
Turkey widow's so docible.
As season's end,
Is drawing near.
I got to contend,
For one more year.
Because God did send,
You to me my dear.
As I pondered upon a successful morning in the turkey woods on this fine Mother's Day, I wrote my wife this poem.
I truely enjoyed the poem.
Wish I could put words together as you did .... very cool
Good job brother.
