I recently was able to buy a Coiner Turkey Caller on eBay because I'm on a mission to collect calls made by folks in Virginia, my home state.
All I can find about Tiny is some brief info on the Call Collector website (birth/death years and that he was from Waynesboro). Does anyone here have any further info about him? Furthermore, do any of you have any good stories using his calls?
I'd love to know more about the man! I took his call to the woods this weekend and didn't have luck but really like it's low volume raspiness I can get out of it.

If you have acesss to the Earl Mickle books there's a write up in the second book I think that covers this call maker. One thing I will say is he was friends with another call maker Bill Tannehill who made a great little slate and Tiny learned from Bill and carried the call on after Bill had passed.
Wow thanks callmakerman that's fascinating! I've seen Bill's name pop up when researching call makers from Virginia.
Unfortunately I don't have either of Earl Mickel's books, i'd love to have them but all I have seen have been going for a lot of money on eBay. I'm a librarian, so hopefully if I pull on enough strings I can at least find copies to read over if I can't own them.
Really appreciate your contribution to this!!
