If you're hunting Merriam I don't think they'll care.  Good luck

Good tracking conditions. Z!  Don't even need to take your calls! That's the way turkeys are supposed to be hunted!  ;D  :angel9:  Get out there after 'em!  :D

Well Z, lets just say with the snow you can see them coming a long way off. Makes it a lot easier!

Yep and they can see you as well.  I've hunted Merriam's in 6 inches of snow in South Dakota and it's hard to find camo that blends in with snow when all you have is green.  We doubled on the first day and had a single the next day.  Get after them Z, they still have to feed.

Sounds like a trip to Wal mart for a tyvek suit or a white sheet to cover up with Good Luck

Seasons didn't open yet in the north. I didn't expect it either.
Never heard a bird yesterday but I found some walking down horse trails

Sorry Z and Bowguy, I didn't see you were in the North and seasons hadn't opened yet.  I hope you have better weather for your openers, but my advice still applies should you have a late spring snow.  When we hunted South Dakota, it was the first week of May.  So, you figure, snow should be over but NOOOOO.  Good Luck Gentlemen.

Nj youth day Sat. Adult season a week from tomo.
NY youth weekend is same weekend with adult season May 1. Many northern states open May 1. I think Zelmos does

4-5" of snow and it is gone for the most part. It will be soggy here for a week or so with the rain moving in. Just hoping for a little sun in there to get things greening up. We don't like it but it isnt unususl. My wife showed me a pic of us hunting in the snow on May 9th up here in NH. Just another variable, LOL. Good luck to everyone, even "the grumpies". Z

I think I would rather deal with the snow than the 20-30, gusting to 40+ mph wind we are getting today & tomorrow...today is our 1st season opener. :(  :(
