Our local NWTF Chapter hosted our Annual Learn to Hunt Turkey Program through the Wisconsin DNR, my student was a lady I work with at the store, and we had a few days of scouting, set blinds, had her shoot a few of my DTG's (Dedicated Turkey Guns) to see what she was comfortable with. We host a day of class time talking about the History of the Wild Turkey in WI and then Hunt Tactics/Calling and some Range Time.
She scored on a HEAVY WEIGHT at 25lbs 9oz!!
First Hunt of the Year and Her first turkey! and it couldn't have gone any better, my White Headed Strutter "lil' PUFFY (DSD) did some work as we pulled 5 Toms into range.
