Hunted some private central Florida land this morning. A ranch we know well. Picked an early morning setup and did see hens. Never heard a gobble. About 11am decided to move to an alternate spot where we have a game camera. I just kind of ambled in to service the camera and spooked what I thought were more hens. They ran past my camera. I figured I got some good photos of these "hens". Just reviewed the pictures. Oopsie these weren't all hens. Note the time. I was about three minutes behind. These Osceolas seem to move all day. Hope the picture loads.
That 1 "hen" has a really nice beard ....
Yes he does. I'm still kicking myself over yesterday's choice of spots and not sitting and calling a while before walking in to check that camera. I knew better. Getting lazy ;)
It's happened to all of us Joey, you'll have a chance at him...
Happens to everyone, good reason not to use trail cams, LOL.
Guess we've all done it. What's the old saying? When you think you should move.....Don't!

But then you'll never leave and probably starve to death. :toothy12:

Nice rope on that gobbler.
Thats a tough one. But atleast you know you have a good one around.
Part of the game we play Joey. Sometime we win, other times they do. He'll be around again for you to have another chance.
Turned it around this morning. Pictures and story tomorrow. They actually gobbled but not until after 9am.
:z-guntootsmiley: it was a fun day . Kept me off line and out of trouble.
