Title: New 20 options
Post by: Gman on March 23, 2025, 11:01:30 AM
I am looking to purchase a NEW 20 gauge semi-auto for turkey hunting. I will mount a Nikon Monarch UCC 1.5-4.5x 20mm scope on it sitting in Ken Farrell Low aluminum picatinny 1" rings. Here is my list of things that the 20 bore must have:

drilled/tapped receiver or factory picatinny rail installed
barrel length between 20"-24"
weigh no more than 6.5 lbs (preferably less)
of course removable choke tubes
camo or flat black
sling swivel studds

If money is no object, what would you buy?

Benelli's new SBE3 model. Might pick one up in 28ga. myself!

Hard to go wrong with benelli (I shoot a pre 19 M2). If looking right now, I would get Franchi affinity b/c pistol grip is a must for me on a turkey gun.

Scratch the new 20 gauge. I'm going to make my M1 Super 90 work with a picatinny rail and scope.

I would buy another Sa20 tactical turkey. I have the sa459 and super x3 long beard all in 20. The sa20 is my choice.
