Title: Homecoming
Post by: Yoder409 on March 17, 2025, 08:06:34 PM
Picked up my 2024 bird mounts today.

Had quite a truckload, as my cousin's mounts came home, too.

First..... This guy.  Had a good many trailcam pics of him, pre-season.  He was THE target bird for my second PA tag last year.  He ended up coming (with 2 other adult birds) 500 or 600 yards on a rainy morning.  The rain had his beards sticking together.  But, I was 99% sure I pulled the trigger on the right bird.  19 total inches of beard.  Love it when a plan comes together.

He ended up falling in the background of the first (trailcam) pic.

Then, these guys.  A pair of Campeche Ocellateds from almost a year ago to the day.

I'm pretty tickled with the way they turned out.

I still have to finish out the bases on these two.

EXACTLY !!!

One day I won't be able to do this.  But I'll be able to sit in that room in my recliner and tell my grandkids the story of every gobbler and every buck that's in there.

Nice mounts. The last one of the peacock, though, were you going for the constipated look?
