Yes, I did think he was serious. Do not know the member or the inside joke. I do know the lister and he is a close, personal friend with a top shelf reputation. So yeah, I took it serious and even jokes with no context can hurt the sell of the item.

That would makes sense as he stopped signing the bell around that time and just numbering. A few of the first odd not have anything but maybe a piece of paper with a signature, then he made a card that had the information.
I think this is correct from what I saw as I did not buy one during this timeframe. Please correct me if someone see something inaccurate in this.

I have some calls from Mr Billy that are not signed, only numbered, and came with a letter of authenticity. They are all made within the last 2-3 years. I believe, as mentioned, that he started sending the letters when he quit signing them.

Yes, it's recently made. He stopped signing the inside of the bell on some of his calls I think because it's hard for him to do it now.
He does send paperwork with these newer calls that corresponds to the number with information about the call and signature. You should ask the guy you got it from for that paperwork.
