This old picture is a gentleman by the name of Paul Blanton. I go to church with Mr. Blanton's widow. By all accounts Mr. Blanton was a godly man and a great outdoorsman. As the story goes, he killed this bird in North Tuscaloosa County. It was such novelty at the time that the Tuscaloosa News ran a story with his picture. I'm glad to be allowed to share this classic pic.
