With a 2 3/8oz load, I bet you only shot that thing once. Yikes!!! At 20 yrds. your going to have to send him down the road before shooting. You will literally being throwing a baseball at him at most.

WOW!  I was thinking the same thing!  But I was thinking the size of a silver dollar.  "Better draw down on him Alvin, if you want to WIN the whole beef critter."  Sergeant York.

in the lead days that was true....but ive noticed with just about any tss load ive shot that even though the super hot core may be like a baseball at 20 but...its still got about a 12" spread thats plenty dense enough ....but yeah its tight for sure.

How was the trip to the ER to have your shoulder joint put back into place?  :z-dizzy:

Its manageable......But yes it kicks more than say a more traditional 2.25oz load. The only bad part is bench shooting with these loads...on a bird i never notice it. On the bench ive made myself a pad with a couple layers of cardboard, with foam in between it so it can be compressed and i put it between the stock and my shoulder. while many would say "youre a baby"....it prevents a lot of the bruising when testing loads and shooting possibly 4 to 6 at a time....thats honestly about all i want on the bench 4 to 6 shots....i literally develop a headache from it.

Holy smoke, those are killer.  I am building an 870 youth 20 ga for this year, got some LB TSS number 9s and am looking for a Indian Creek .562.  Your results tell me that may be the right choice
