Title: Acrylic pots
Post by: napier011 on February 25, 2025, 09:29:17 PM
Looking for opinions on good calls/makers with acrylic pots. Any and all surfaces. What's your favorites? Really looking for calls that I can take out in rainy/wet conditions when I don't want to chance ruining my wood pots!! Thanks for any help in advance.

not turned acrylic, but one of my favorite calls of all time is a plastic pot by larry gresser, prairie game calls.  His 3.5 inch camo pot.  I've owned lonzo acrylics which are fine calls, but I still own prairie camo pots.  It is the only call that I've ever bought another exactly like it just to have a backup in case I lost or broke my original.  I like the glass over slate, but if I was buying it specifically for damp weather I'd get the glass/glass.

Chris Brumfiled ? Makes a acrylic pot with a ceramic surface..I drove to his house years ago when i was out of town working..Played a few calls and ended up with a bunch of his calls.

But that ceramic call stays in my vest..I have a lot of pot calls prob pushing 75/80..It has the right volume tone it just does everything in a call for me..He use to be on here but haven't seen him post for a while..All his calls are great...The acrylic plays wet with his striker, when its raining im mouth calling anyway but that call is 1/2 every time when i reach for a pot in the vest
