Well if there is a place to find one someone has stored away, he has come to the right place to ask.
I have been using this setup for years without all the props and straps. Pretty easy IMO. When you are setup, have your pot and striker, and box laid out next to dominant hand at the ready. Take the stock of your gun and rotate it 90 degrees laying it flat on your shoulder and prop the gun barrel on the propped-up knee of your dominant shooting hand and you'll have the same effect. The gun will be at the ready at eye level, and you will be hands free to use your pot or box (with a mouth call already in your cheek). If you are a fidgety hunter, then a v shaped knee pad will keep the barrel in place on your knee. :z-twocents: Hope you find what you are searching for.

This is pretty much what I do now. I have always regretted not picking up the system though to try. It always seemed like what I was currently doing, but I really liked the idea of the gun being held in place on my shoulder. I don't care as much about the knee aspect as I rest it on my knee currently, but I would like to find the should portion or a mechanism similar.I have run a Cabelas's Tat'r 2 vest the last 15 or more years and love it, so wasn't looking for the vest, but more the should apparatus.

Thats what I was hoping. Or maybe someone who knows someone or a small business that could make something similar.

I have a good friend that runs an auto upholstery shop that made me a short lanyard out of a 1 inch nylon strap, that is sewn to the back of my turkey vest, with a loop sewn on one end that will tighten around my gun stock to hold my gun up very close to the front of my shoulder. Most older vests had them YEARS ago but now not so much. I don't use mine much since I started laying my gun flat on my shoulder though. Sounds good, will do. I remember before seeing the Knight's hunting product system and vest a few of the old school vests came with a strap that looked like it had 2 loops on each side. You put your arm through one loop all the way up to your shoulder, and then ran it behind your neck with the other loop hanging on the opposite shooting shoulder to slip the butt of the gun in.
I use this, it is a more elementary version of the knight's product.

This is my setup as well when I remember to put the pad on my knee. Most of the time I'll just turn the gun stock flat and rest the stock on my shoulder and the barrel on my knee. At that point, the gun is at eye level ready to go, and my hands are free to operate a call or scratch in the leaves.
Is the nights the one with the wires that go around your knee?
