Vortex has a new direct mount, fully enclosed red dot.
No mounting block. Sits VERY low on the receiver. Mounts on most any drilled and tapped receiver.
It's pricey but a sweet sleek setup!

I watched part of this this morning it looks pretty cool

That may be a new purchase in the future
Yes, nice setup with a hefty price
This year at the NwTF Convention ... Looks like a lot of new style turkey vests were unveiled
Looks like a pretty slick design but that price tag is making me want to keep what I have now lol
Stopped by Vortex at the NWTF show and looked at them. Nice field of view. 2 versions are available. Single and multi reticle. Both are shake awake. Mounting seems really simple. The base mounts directly to the receiver, no extra cost for picatinny rail or mounting base, and the design of the base makes it compatible with lots of tap configurations. Seemed very tight and stable when mounted. Have to get used to adjustment buttons on the top. Battery was easily accessed. Just my impression.
That's slick
I like it!
Bass Pro has them for 299.00

I watched the YouTube review and I thought he said you can still see your bead through thru the site. Can this be confirmed?
I have not seen this particular red dot but I can promise you vortex will take care of it if you have any issues.
I'm a scope user and I'm impressed with the above testing video. This may be a game changer!
It great to see something dedicated to turkey hunting but hoped for a green dot to put on a red head, maybe their next iteration.
I like it. For $299 that's a pretty good deal compared to red dot and mount separately. Vortex CS is great
Im not 100% but I think I remember seeing the bead. It sits directly on the receiver so is not elevated above the bead.

Thank you!
I have not personally had the chance to shoot with this exact new site, but two different sources from Vortex both said you can still utilize the bead site if needed with this site installed. What I do know for certain is that Vortex customer service is second to none. If you run over the site with your truck, they will still replace your site. Vortex also said that this site is every bit on the level of defender stuff they have touted as being bullet proof - so I doubt you will have any issues using this for turkey hunting. While I still have a Leupold Delta Point Pro on my primary gun - I have and still use Vortex and have had zero issues with their stuff and am more and more considering Vortex every bit the equal if not better than Leupold for what we all do in the Spring turkey woods. When you consider that you will not need a 40-50 dollar Sumtoy mount to sit under this site, I think that 299.00 is a good buy.

I agree with Vortex having top notch customer service. I wrecked a venom that was junk (I think most of us know about the venom issues) they sent me a Defender as a replacement, no questions asked. Vortex even replaced my SumToy mount to fit it. Hats off to Vortex for what they did!

The $299 is for single dot (which is all you need).
$349 for multi reticule. (Really nice if you don't mind the price tag).
