Title: 2025 Grand Nationals - Trumpet & Wingbone Results
Post by: GregGwaltney on February 15, 2025, 07:51:01 AM
Hey guys, here are the results from the 2025 Grand National Call Making Competition -- Trumpets, Jordans, & Wingbones in the "Hunting Division". There are a lot more categories in this contest, but I am not sure how to get a consolidated report for all of it. A little self-promotion here, I was dang happy to have both of my trumpet entries place in the top 5 of the main draw, very cool for me. Also want to pass along congrats to everyone who placed in this event as it isn't easy to do.

Wow, those pics are terrible, next year I will take pics myself for the show/auction. Believe it or not, the 4th place trumpet is a fairly light colored Grey, sure looks black in that pic though. I appreciate the congrats!

I really appreciate all of the kind thoughts and comments guys. I know it is just a silly contest, but does give one an idea about call development/progress which is important to me. Hope everyone has a great Spring!

Thanks Tony, that means a lot to me, I definitely feel fortunate to have had some success there.....that is so cool you were able to be a judge, I am sure that was fun, and a challenge considering the quality of calls entered.

I was only one of five judges and I felt honored to be with such a bunch of highly qualified yelper men. Your scores came from some very discriminating individuals. Be proud.

You've been rather consistent as you placed first for a Delrin Trumpet last year (I have that one) and seeing your sig line, you've been producing for years. Congrats!
