As many states have, SC has dropped our tags from three to two. Even with data showing that very few, less than five percent, of SC turkey hunters fill all three tags. Well this drop in tags has created quite the conundrum for me this year. This offseason I have been the blessed recipient of three beautiful new trumpets that are just waiting to pose beside beautiful, bronze feathers. From previous posts, everyone will remember my Brazilian Rosewood from my friend Ricky Padgett and my Brazilian Rosewood Hex call from the great Mr. Permar. Well at Unicoi I had the privilege to pick up a Maponi trumpet from my good friend Kenny Pedelahore, it was to match another call I hunt with regularly. With this conundrum I am going to have to put extra pressure on my boys, friends, and especially myself to make sure they shoot straight if given the opportunity to make sure each of these deserving turkey killing tools get their chance to shine and pose beside those beautiful bronze feathers this spring. To spring we go!

I'd love to watch Ralph build one of those hex calls.
That's quite a trio to be proud of.
Beautiful calls !!!
If you need to hire a gun..... I may be available. :toothy9:
That Padgett!!!
That's quite a line-up!!! Pity the turkeys!!!
A starting line up right there. Top calls.
The best of the best... Hard to beat that lineup
Sweet!
Very nice group of calls!

You could go with a Starter, Middle reliever, and a Closer. Either way, nice lineup.
Those are all very nice calls. I'm bummed that I missed my chance of getting a KP since I canceled my Unicoi reservation due to the weather. I have already booked one of the barrel cabins for the next show and hopefully I can get one then.
