That was crazy fast. I bought one in 2023 (I think the first year they limited tags) on the first day but tags were available for weeks after that if I recall correctly.

I still think they should do one tag per person for the first week or so. Then remaining tags can be sold for someone's second tag after that to give everyone a shot at a tag. But that is just my opinion (which I also stated in 2022 when the limited tags came out). Or a lottery for one tag, then remaining tags can be sold and someone can get a second tag if they'd like.

2023: Tags go on sale January 9th, sell out March 24.
2024: Tags go on sale January 8th, sell out January 25th.

2025: Tags go on sale January 13th, sell out in 31 hours.

The future keeps looking brighter and brighter!

Have their been less tags each year Nathan? I had two buddies get tags this year, they were online when they went on sell and had to wait about 30 minutes to get them.

Nope, 10,000 tags each year. A hunter can buy two. As each state tightens down on the ever increasing non-resident crowd, it creates more demand in other states. South Dakota Black Hills going to a non-resident draw for the first time this spring definitely steered a bit more traffic towards Nebraska.

I'm really glad I bought mine within the first hour they went on sale. I had a really good DIY hunt last Spring in late May on a friend's ranch in western NE and wanted to hunt the last 3 days of May again.

I'm shocked the tags went so fast!

I logged on when it opened to make sure to get one and I waited in line for almost 40min before even being allowed in. My guess is they'll be on a draw like Kansas very soon.

Isn't this fun. Used to be over the counter. Little pressure. Plenty of turkeys. Now we get to draw and wait online and hope for tags.  Turkey version Black Friday.

Make sure to like and subscribe so we can continue to pummel a resource for pennies on the dollar.
Destroy a resource for the masses so a handful of selfish, self serving people can have more time in the spring woods.

I like how you waited to make a post about Nebraska tags until after they were sold out.....smart.  ;)

For a real laugh watch what happens if anyone on a Florida forum even mentions turkey hunting prior to or during the November quota draw application period.
