Title: A little change of Pace
Post by: zelmo1 on October 21, 2024, 07:07:26 AM
Duck hunting is slow here due to no water, which is a major pita, so I decided to go fishing for a bit. I get to the boat launch and the water is boiling. WTH, its the end of October. So I start casting a lure and bam, almost every cast I get a little brown trout. I throw a fly and the same. I had a ball catching those little buggers. I get home and my boy " Bubba" left me a text, " Hey I just found out they stocked 4000 fingerling browns in Bow Lake. We should try it tomorrow" I got a little chuckle and called him. Not a bad way to spend on a duckless saturday, lol. Good luck to everyone for deer season. Good luck and God Bless. Z

:icon_thumright: We are going to have temps near 90 for most of this week.  I may leave the deer woods for some crappie fishing myself.  It's never a bad time to fish if they are biting.

It's 79 today in south central PA.  I am headed to Ohio tomorrow to bow hunt and suppose to be 79 degrees their as well.  I have decided to delay a trip to KS to archery hunt because it is warm there as well.  My son is fly fishing instead of hunting.  Precision Fly & Tackle.com.

Fun is fun, regardless of how it comes about. Glad you had a good time and hope you went back the next day with your buddy.
