How much of the Martins 13.3% permethrin to water ratio if going to soak hunting clothes in it? I've used 10% before and I think it was 1/2 oz to 19 ounces of water? Or something like that. I would roll up pants and shirt and let them soak for a couple hours and then hang to dry.

That's what I did. I found the mix to have an odor. Sawyers never had an odor. After a few days in turkey camp the Martin's odor gets overwhelmed tho. :TooFunny:

You might have the stuff that has an oil base. I believe it's martins that has a water base and no smell (I think)

Some of the Martins 10% is oil based and has an odor, I have found that for some reason many of the water-based ones will not ship into NY for some odd reason and the sites that do have it and will ship it here seem rather sketchy.

Really I didn't know that. Do you know which ones are water based? Could be some good info to pass along.

I use the Martins 10%, I mix 1 1/2 oz. to 1 quart and it seems to work pretty well for me.
No I am sorry I do not. I have not looked since earlier this year. I had somebody suggest some that was 13.3% and was supposed to be water based but it is not. I will use that on the clothes I just walk around on trails with, but I need to find some water based myself for hunting.
Just pulled up Martins 13.3% label and they recommend 1 1/3 ozs in a quart of water for.5%. If you are going to hang your clothes to dry, then get a quart bottle, add 1 1/3 ozs of 13.3%, fill to the brim and spray away. A quart will saturate your clothes really well. GREAT stuff at .5%. Ticks just climb on, get drunk, fall off and die.
These conversions are pretty simple really. If you want to get a .5% final product from any concentration, just divide the concentration by .5
13.3/.5 = 26.6.........so just added 1 oz of 13.3% to 26oz of water to get .5% solution. 26:1
If you have 10%. 10/.5 = 20 so 19:1 gives you .5%
If you have 33%. 33/.5 = 66 so 65:1 gives you .5%
Some are 2.5% 2.5/.5 = 5 so 4:1 gives you .5%

Easy if you are good with numbers, that just lost me completely. I have Dyscalculia though which is basically dyxlexia with numbers, I have had problem with them my entire life and have only ever had one person in my life that could teach me anything above plus and minus and basic multiplication. When I left school I had fifth grade math or lower.
I just take the easy way out and buy the large spray cans from Walmart.... Never had a problem ... LOL

The label is the law when it comes to mixing instructions. Always consult it before mixing.
