Title: Bloodwood Trumpet
Post by: GregGwaltney on September 15, 2024, 11:03:28 AM
I have only turned a few Bloodwood trumpets, but they really do make a great horn.

You've been on a roll out in the shop bud! Looks like a good one. Like that red hue with the black mouthpiece a lot

Bloodwood is my favorite wood for paddles/lids.
I have only built a handful of boxes, but always loved using Bloodwood lids, they seemed to have just the right amount of bite and sounded great. Relative to trumpets, Bloodwood creates nice tone and response to my ear.

And it's mighty easy on the eye.

I received this call yesterday and it is exceptional in both looks and sound. I highly recommend Greg if you're looking for an easy playing, great looking trumpet at a fair price.

I really appreciate the kind words Mike, I am very happy that you liked it. looking forward to turning some more Bloodwood horns as they really are fantastic...... got one for myself set aside as well. Good luck hunting with it this year!
