Yesterday was a good day. Back in 2006, I boxed up 7 unfinished trumpet yelpers. That box disappeared, never to be seen again for 18 years. Yesterday while searching for something else, I found a box I didn't recognize and decided to inspect it's contents. Saying I was surprised and shocked to see the contents is an understatement. I have no clue how this box got to where I found it. Regardless, the detail of the trumpet yelpers I made back then is superior to the detail of the ones I make now. But that is a sign of the times and the unsteadiness of old, tired hands. Now I need to make some mouthpieces. Since I still have the ivory I intended to use when I turned them, that is probably what I will use for the mouthpieces; then I will make bamboo call cases for them, which makes this a long-term project that I can take my time to do like I want without rushing to meet some time restriction. It has already only taken 18 years so far.......

LOL I do that a lot, put stuff away and can't find it. Most times I blame it on the wife but I'm sure it's my "Sometimers" kicking in!

Great find Marvin and I know they'll be awesome when you finish them. I miss place stuff every now and then too, I'm still missing four hen boxes started back in 2010.
