Title: 8/24 Update: Remington 870 20 gauge Stock Weight Question
Post by: 10th Legionaire on July 10, 2024, 09:14:49 AM
So I'm setting up a new 870 20 gauge that came with a full size wood stock. I have found a plastic youth stock set for not too much money. I'm interested in what the weight difference would be, anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I went from a youth synthetic to a youth laminate wood stock and forend and it added a half pound to my 870. With the full size to youth stock I would guess around a pound

Thanks very much sir.

I found a deal on a youth synthetic stock set. Once I get it back from being dipped I'll verify weights and post them here for others info.

Well the youth stock got swapped out yesterday here are the weights:

Synthetic youth stock set 1lb 6oz
Full size wood stock set 1lb 10oz

870 20 gauge with 21" barrel and factory modified Remchoke 6 pounds even.
