Black walnut over mahogany. This box is amazing. One of the best sounding and playing boxes I have. The lid is the perfect weight to make it easy to play. Sounds amazing.

Darrin makes a great box. I got the exact same call in the mail yesterday, along with an all walnut box from him. They're both top notch!
