I ran into him at the NWTF and picked up a copper Jordan. I like how it plays, good tone.

Sure hope you get one, he makes a very unique caller and copies no one. What custom call making should be all about, uniqueness and innovation, and of course sounding like hen turkeys.

I tried and tried to get a call from him and never could get him to contact me back. Got a secondhand cane caller on here. Overpaid a little bit for it, but I really love it. Have killed two three or four with it. I think his calls sound very different to my ear. A lot of times I wind up carrying that cane yelper into places where I've already been with my usual callers just trying to switch it up some. He makes great stuff, just hard to pin down.

It's been a couple years ago but I always got a pretty quick response from him. I think I emailed him
He's very nice and he was pretty straightforward about how long it would take. Unlike some makers that told me a year. Been 5/6 and say they don't make many anymore but there plenty of them out there...

I got one from the NWTF convention a few years ago. My wife and I got to meet him and have a talk. I've managed to call several gobblers with it and don't leave home without it! Good luck!

Sent an email last night to Bill, telling him I am new to using trumpets (only a month) and that his calls came highly recommended and was looking for a call.
He responded this morning already saying that he would send pics of some calls and that he would make me the one I liked.  He did not give me an ETA but he was quick to respond.
I will keep y'all updated.

What a great guy, Mr Bill has emailed with me all day.  Told him I was looking for an acrylic call, he quickly replied with picture of several that he is working on, said pick what I wanted and he would get it finished up for me.  I chose to go with a Mossy Oak bottomland call.

He said once I got it he would give me a call and help me get started using it.

Thanks for all the comments

I am new to the trumpet addiction and this will be my 3rd ive bought (misfire/mullins) plus a couple of wingbones and cane calls.  Even got the itch to start making some wingbone and cane calls.

Yes email seems to be the best way to get in touch.  He was very responsive to my email and I was able to order a call and send him a check.  Like you he didn't give me an ETA time but I'm excited to get mine as well

I had the same experience. Great guy, he sent me his phone number and we have text back and forth a few times.

Legend!

Got a special package today, my Lester call came in.  This call has a special meaning to it.  I ordered the call after talking with Bill, a couple of weeks later he said it was on the way.  The package arrived and it was the wrong call plus an extra one, I reached out to him and sent them back.  He had gotten 2 labels mixed up.  He sent me an email saying that mine had been resent and that there was a special surprise in the package.  That surprise was that the serial # on the call was #5000.  On a hand written letterhead he thanked me for returning his calls and said that he had been saving #5000 in a drawer for a special call, and my act of honesty deserved that number.  To say I was blown away is an understatement.  This call will always hold a special place in my vest.
Bill is a true gentleman and a true asset to call makers.

Received this beauty in last week.  It, along with his handwritten artwork/letter is truly a work of art.  Can't wait to use it next spring

The handwritten note on his art work really adds to the lore of owning one of his calls.

William's (Bill) wife was my music teacher in elementary school. Bill was my art professor in college. I've always wanted one of his trumpets, but never got around to buying one. My wife surprised me with one today. It truly is a work of art from an amazing artist. I have one of his turkey paintings that he gave me 10 years ago. Mr. Bill is a true gentleman and a conservationist.
