Title: Verdict Ammo
Post by: Tom007 on June 01, 2024, 11:05:05 AM
I read some very positive reviews this off season about Verdict TSS turkey loads. I decided to give them a try. I am very pleased, it patterns real well and they have a good amount in stock pretty much all the time. Prices are not crazy for TSS either. Felt I would give them a plug, another viable option out there. Have a safe off season...

I switched to Verdict in 2023 after meeting them at the Dixie Classic and had a great discussion there about loads, chokes, and all things turkey. They even knocked off the price to get me test it against the Apex I was using and asked me to send my test patterns when I shot them. They out shot Apex in my guns as he said they would.  I still use them in my Franchi, but switched to the 2oz Rocky Ridge in my Midland single barrel this season. None of my birds have complained about either load's performance when I asked about them on the rides home!

With all these great factory loads available now, if you can't find a load and a choke combo that is magic on paper for you, you should probably wrap your barrel around a tree or fill the barrel with jb weld and get a new gun...only half joking.

It's another option for TSS users for sure. Pattern reviews seem to be very positive...

I and several others  can speak for the Stevens 410 shooters that the verdict 410 load shoots the best compared to federal, apex, and other TSS brands. (With the factory choke that is provided it shot great, no reason to buy another choke)

I have to say I agree with this 100%. I bought a CVA Scout .410 for my little boy, and the Verdict 9.5's pattern very well. I took it to the woods this past season and was successful at about 30 yards with it!

My son has taken a gobbler the last 2 seasons using 9.5's out of his Rossi 410. No complaints.

After trying several brands and 3 chokes ($$) on my Stevens 301 .410, the Verdicts won out.  That's all I use.
