It's a nice green hornet.  Trumpets in general are eye candy.

All I saw was a green hornet and I would not call it eye candy. Now some he has built are definitely pleasing to the eye.

14 hr. left, and only at $760. So why is the green hornet less desired than other Cox calls ? I honestly no nothing about its history  ???

This is what I know. Frank made them in partnership with someone else that had a CNC. They are CNC made off the original green hornet Frank designed and created. Frank made it clear in a certificate they came with, that each of the 100 is a duplicate of the original green hornet. They only made 100 of them and they are all dark green like the one on auction. There are different colored ones out there but according to Frank they were made outside the agreement and aren't authentic. Frank signed and numbered the 100 he made with his partner. They are made from solid acrylic in three pieces and threaded/glued beneath the bands. He said as they are all acrylic you never want to drop them or take apart at the joints. They are a piece of Frank's history and highly collectible. They also sound great!

If I remember correctly, one on eBay went for around $1500 back in the spring but was the highest I had seen one.

For me they play better than a standard Cox trumpet. They are also the heaviest trumpet I've worn around my neck.

His calls always seem to bring a premium on the secondhand market. Even the guys that don't like him have a hard time letting go of the calls they have from him

Like him or hate him, his calls are almost like a work of art.
