During the course of the spring season what percentage of the time are you hunting public land and what percent are you hunting private. Mine is about 90 public and 10 private.

70% public / 30% private
100% private.
2 farms all private 100 % ...
Years ago it was all public land because it was the first land to have turkeys to hunt..
90% public until Covid, now 90% private because there are no birds to hunt on the public now. Heck, there arent even any trucks on the public any longer because they finally got the memo when the last bird was killed.
100% private
50/50
100% private, but use to love the challenge of public, even though aggravating at times.
80% public 20% private
95% public / 05% private
All private.
98% private
Florida 75 private/25 public. Public only if drawing a quota. No quota then head out of state to somewhere in early May then 100% public.
100% public usually in 3-4 states per year.
50-50. Though a lot of the private I hunt is leased ground that is hunted as hard as public.

100% public.
At home, 75% private. Out of state, 100% public.
Most years, I hunt almost all public OTC hunts, although I also annually put in for limited-tag hunts on restricted properties. Occasionally, I will get an invitation to hunt private land and I am not against paying a reasonable access fee to hunt private in situations where public land hunting is not feasible. Overall, if I was to guess a percentage of those public-land OTC hunts over the years, I would say about 90% fit that slot, with 10% falling into one of the other categories.
About half and half this year.
90% private. Most all my public hunting is Out of state, but even that is 50/50 .
100% private the last several years. Used to enjoy a couple of specific public hunts, but haven't had the time to fool with them lately.
100% private
In my home state: 100% private.
My trips this year will be 75% public/25% private
100% private.
100% Public for the last 25 years

Last year was 100% private for me... This year will likely be the same. Same reasons.
During COVID, there is a small area I like to hunt that is about 30 acres with a small parking lot... There were 12 vehicles in the lot (I have previously never seen anyone hunt the area). I would never have even considered hunting the area with another vehicle there... Not quite sure how at least 12 people worked out hunting a 30 acre unit???
I believe that the apps such as Gaia and OnX have had a huge negative impact on my own hunting.... Great apps, but the areas I knew about that were someone "secret," are no longer secret at all.
98% public these days, used to be the opposite!

Last year 90%/10% private.
This year will be a 70%/30% public.
Stayed home last year and only went to OH and hunted public. This year I have an out of state trip which will encompass multiple states. The second trip will only be one state. Combining the two trips will be 70% of my hunting.
About a50 /50 mixture .
And believe me in area as I hunt the private gets hunted harder than the public .
50/50
I hit public hard the first few days it's open. After that birds seem to shut up for the most part. Plus down here in the south it's not as fun walking miles in 85 degrees weather hearing nothing.
100% private
Generally 80% public/ 20% private. It will very from year to year some. If I have plenty of birds on my farm I will take one in a season and hunt public afterward. Years the numbers are down on the farm then I hunt it at all.
All public.
In the early years of my turkey hunting career, it was all public. Later I got on some leases, but still hunted some public as well. Much later on I tried a few outfitters and hunted my own land. I might try a little public again this year for old times sake.

99.99999% public.
80% public, 20% private
About 50/50 for me. Private for my first bird, and then when things settle down on public a bit later in the season, I hunt it for my second.

Mostly private
Here, 90% private the last 25 years. That may change this year as the bird population on the private land I have access to is down.
