I thought I'd give the Remington 20 ga SF choke tube a try in the new 870 SPS-T. When it arrived, the finish was more less the same on the inside as the outside. My question is, does it need to be polished on the inside for best patterning results??? Thanks, -Cliff.
I didn't polish mine. I'd shoot it first before doing anything but a good cleaning.

Let it polish itself as you shoot. Keep it relatively clean but do not polish at first.MO.
Just clean it by hand with a good cleaner .
Yea, I just wiped mine down with some oil, installed it and went to the range.
I have some Federal #7 to try as soon as I get to the woods or range.
Thanks guys. Can't wait to give it a try!!!
Mine came the same way. I just wiped it down inside and out with some Kroil and it looked fine.
Now if I could just get my hands on some of those Federal HW 7's.... :fud:
Tim,
Midway is supposed to have them March 2nd. - Cliff
Cliff, Thanks for the heads-up.

Dunn's Sporting Goods has them right now for $15.99 a box.
I ordered 3 boxes from Cheaper than Dirt and got them in 3 or 4 days...
