Still hung over from yesterday's 17 hour drive. But here's a few pics of one of the coolest hunts I've ever had.
HUUUUUUUUUUGE shout out to mi amigo, Manuel Enriquez and the entire staff of El Halcon Lodge and Outfitters !!!
10 hunters in camp last week. 19 el pavos harvested. Every man killed what he came for. Pretty sure every man went home weighing more than he did when he arrived in camp, too.

There was one set of legit 2-inchers out of 19 birds.

Thanks !!!
It's definitely a trip of a lifetime for a turkey hunter. The hunting is calling from a blind.....which is not my style. But it's really the only way other than roost shooting. But when you hear....then see your first one...... !!! It's just pretty incredible.
Yep.
Congrats Yoder, that's a pretty bird. Z
Love it!
Those are awesome birds!!!! Congrats Don. Looks like it was a blast
Congrats on the gobblers! Gotta admit, those are some beautiful birds.
Pretty exclusive company hunting with Rob Keck...
¡Felicitaciones por tus pavos!
¡Muchas gracias, señor!
¡Denada!
Nice beautiful birds Mr. Yoder!
Amazing!!!!! Way to go, Yoder!!!! I can imagine how incredible that hunt was, especially sharing camp with Rob Keck!
Big time congratulations, Don. Those are amazing and beautiful birds.
Assuming you're getting one or both mounted, is it problematic getting your birds back here for taxidermy?

Thanks, Bill !!! They ARE Amazing birds !!!
I will be getting both birds mounted when they get here. Being non-native to the U.S. the birds must be sent to a U.S.D.A. licensed acceptance facility here, stateside, accompanied by a CITES permit issued by the Mexican government. Currently, the issuing agency in Mexico City is a 3-ring crap show, I am told. And permits are slow to be issued. Our outfitter said it could be 6 months or more til the permits arrive and our capes get shipped.
No biggie. ives me more time to save for the taxidermy bill. :toothy9:
