I'm looking for some input on a red slate. I'm torn between a maple and persimmon pot. Which do you all prefer and who do you suggest? Any and all help greatly appreciated!!

Persimmon ... Never cared for maple in anything myself ...

Larry Halford's persimmon/red slate is phenomenal.

With red slate, persimmon just seems to fit.

I like my Persimmon slate set by Mark Cunningham AKA Long Hunter Custom Calls.

Both are hard, but I like maple.

I prefer persimmon, but maple makes a good slate too. Under rated imo.
