Title: Black and white flappers
Post by: ChesterCopperpot on March 12, 2024, 10:31:26 AM
I've only ever had the opportunity to kill easterns, but here's flappers off the darkest barred bird I ever took and the white winged bird I killed last spring.

That is awesome. What do you wrap the feathers with at the bottom to keep them together?

They're dried and cured open like that and then I just coat the skin section and dress them up.

That's awesome man, do you carry them in the back of a vest when you hunt? I bet those are very effective at simulating a fight if you have a buddy making fighting purrs alongside you

I have carried a wing just like those for years actually as far back as I can remember. But I just carry one. I just put it in the back of my vest, but I also have it tied to my vest so I don't lose it.
