Title: Mossberg 835 with LPA Trigger???
Post by: Mike Honcho on July 13, 2011, 08:29:45 AM
Just wondering if anyone has the newer Mossberg 835 Turkey Thug with the adjustable (LPA) trigger system and what they think of it.   Looks like that might be a good long range set up with the right optics.

I won one at the nwtf convention and I like it.  No problems and the trigger is nice.   If I read it right it came pre-set at the lightest pull.  Mine came with a tru glo red dot sight in it Andi slid had an extra stock..pistol grip..come with it.  20" bbl.  Mine shoots well.  Im getting 330 in a 10" circle at 40 with hevi 13 7s and a dirty bbl.  Overall the gun is nice.  I love it so far.   Set up right it is easily a 50 yard gun..prolly more..but I stop at 40 myself.

That's good info.  I've been thinking about buying one...I have a camo 835 turkey with 24" ported barrel now...std tru glo type sights that came on it.  I love it but am thinking about setting up a gun with a Mueller Quick Shot sight...thought the 835 with LPA would be a good choice.  I've even thought about buying the black 835 with LPA and seeing if the trigger assembly would interchange with my current 835 , then sell the black stocked gun off.
I think I would liek to stiock with the 24" barrel and the LPA guns all come with 20" (I think)
