Title: Hydro Re-Dip
Post by: ColemantownHC on March 04, 2024, 08:47:38 AM
Has anyone here had a gun that was previously hydro dipped redone and dipped again? I brought my 870 20 ga youth model that I've had since I was 10 to a local guy for a greenleaf dip. Long story short, I just picked the gun up and it's a pretty sorry job, on top of it all, he drilled and tapped the gun and also cerakoted the mag cap, mag tube and trigger guard when I hadn't even asked for any of that; He gave me those for free since it was his mistake. Its bad enough that he knocked off 50% right out the gate without a comment from me. He didn't offer to redo it and i wasn't interested anyway. I was pissed off enough that I just chalked it up to lesson learned took my gun and left. Its fine for what it is and will work just fine for the season. However, when the season is over I would like to get it done right and am hoping that it won't be a problem.

It shouldn't be a problem to remove the old dip to prep for the new dip.

I did not think it would be a major issue, but was curious nonetheless. Thanks gents!
