Just received this beauty from my good buddy Seth Hamon. Boise de rose wood and some beautiful work. Looks incredible and plays even better. He's been wanting to start to numbering calls for a bit and after winning the Top Turpin at Nashville last week he figured why not start. Very glad to own the #1 and can't wait to get into the woods this year with it. If you aren't on his list get on it, you won't regret it! When I visited Billy Buice I asked him about numbering calls and how it was too late since I have made several hundred already. He said he made about 500 before he ever started numbering so I was thinking of a good time to start. Post Turpin Award seemed like a good time.
Still not 100% how I am going to number them, maybe engrave the ferrule or just written in the bell. I make more than one design so maybe multiple number systems like Permar. I got covid in Nashville so still recovering and not making anything at the moment.

One of my favorite woods. I have a call made in Bois De Rose and absolutely love it. It was the fastest darkening call I have had, I did/do hunt it often. It has gone from that beautiful royal purple to almost a black look unless you are looking at it from the right angles. You will enjoy that one!
