Safest place is on a lanyard and around your neck, everywhere else something is more likely to happen. Unless of course you hard case it
Keep on a lanyard an tuck inside your shirt at least that's what I do.

I keep it packed away in a hard case until I get ready to call, then on a lanyard around my neck free hanging until I need to move then it goes tucked in my shirt/jacket.
I sewed two tubes into one of my upper interior vest pockets. Works perfectly for me
I use the double leather case made by Yoder. I also keep another in my vest in a tube protector. Whichever I'm using at the moment is on my neck.
Lanyard with it tucked in shirt pocket.
Zobo,
What kind of tubes? I think once I am using it, lanyard and inside shirt if moving, but on the way in I like the idea of some kind of case in vest. Like capped PVC?
Bubble wrapped in a hard case in my satchel when not on a lanyard around my neck
Who makes the hard case? Where can I find one?

Not pvc, but it's probably not a bad idea. I use the clear ones like the one below, only skinnier. It's got enough stiffness to protect your good trumpets and gives a little and doesn't scratch them.

This is what I use

I don't have a trumpet. But I do have a wing bone and I wedge it in with my strikers. Definitely not a great idea. If I did have a trumpet I'd take a lot better care of it.
Lanyard around my neck and hold the call in my shirt pocket normally.
Same here , lanyard with the call tucked into a front pocket .

I think I found it on Amazon but it's been a while and I could be wrong.

Same, except I have a soft case.

When I leave the truck, it is around my neck, on a short lanyard. Mine is a tool, and gets hunted hard everyday I am in the turkey woods.

I wear it around my neck on a lanyard. If I'm wearing a button up , I slide the bell end into an opening between buttons and it stays put.
These work well.

I carry mine on a double lanyard around my neck. If I got on a button up shirt I will Tuck it in. On the second loop I carry a SCPossum tube, desert Ironwood. Scratches are going to happen. Just a sign of use, no abuse.

Thanks for the tip - got a couple of them headed this way. They look well made and like a real steal for 10 bucks. I usually have my main trumpet for the day around my neck and stuffed into a front magnetic pocket for extra protection in case the lanyard failed or something. I will put my back up in one of these and keep in the satchel. But even more than that, these will be good to store some extra trumpets that I do not use so much in the off season where they can be put up out of sight and yet still safe. Thanks for sharing Greg.
I have a couple of GG's holsters that are pretty good (more so for storage in the vest or satchel), and I need to get one of Yoder's holsters as well before April just to see how I like it. He is obviously making a very good product like Mrs. Glenda.
I use one of these.
I was carrying a trumpet on a lanyard inside my shirt and the lipstop came off. Luckily, I wear bibs and tuck them into my snake boots. I found my lipstop down in the calf of my bibs. :toothy9:

I snapped the mp off my Buckner Lignum once when it was around my neck. It was a screw in so Bob sent me a new one which was very cool of him. I hunt in cold weather so I'm not wearing any button down shirt with pockets to tuck in a trumpet. I also don't like the feeling of something around my neck. So, I really prefer carrying my trumpets in tubes or cases like Yoders.
