Title: Drying wing bones.
Post by: locoman on February 12, 2024, 02:09:07 PM
I am making two wing bone calls and I have them ready to assemble but how long do I have to let them dry. I read somewhere that if they are not dry enough the glue will crack. They have been drying about a week. Thanks.

Not sure what you mean by "dry". Are they cleaned and de-greased. If you don't degrease them they will may eventually come apart.

No degreased ready to be assembled. But does the bone itself need a drying period before assembly to account for shrinkage and cracking the attachment glue? Or cracking the glue that covers the thread you put on for decorative purposes?

No, as long as it's not wet from water you're good to go.
